Ended up going to see Iron Lung/Despise You last night in Seattle. So raging. It was awesome hanging out with old friends and seeing cool bands. Seems like I never go to shows anymore. Anyways, Despise You covered D.R.I. which is about the sickest thing that could have happened. And this is by far the coolest blog I read. At first I thought it was just cool fashion... but no! VOID shirts! So tight! I love finding out that random people from all over the world are in to the same things as me.

I've been really sick lately. I guess this terrible cold/flu has been circulating like crazy. Nothin' to do but wait it out.

I'm hoping to get tattooed by Dan Smith when I'm in Australia. I know he visits there a lot since he's from New Zealand. I dunno, it's a long shot. Would be so awesome though.

I just spend my days daydream about the ocean, tattoos, and living in a cartoon. Hahaha.

Seahawks first game is today! We'll see how Mora holds up this season as coach, hah. We'll have a strong defense, that's fo sho. Kickoff is at 1:15 and I am psyched.

I sometimes read this fashion blog by this fourteen year old girl in Copenhagen. Usually she dresses super well and thinks of things in reasonable terms. And it's refreshing to read something that is completely free of pretension. She's just interested in boys and skipping out on homework. But her recent post about loving fur weirded me out. I think fur is gross. Not just because I am vegan revolution, it just looks gross. And the idea of wearing something's skin and hair is gross. I will be the first to admit that bacon and cheese are delicious, so I'm not all that biased. Just... gross...

Brand New is in, like, 4 days. I am so excited I don't even know what to do with myself. I am going to act like such a twelve-year-old-starstruck-lame-ass. Especially if I somehow meet J. Lacey. I will just die. Pre-orders for Daisy are available now. Ordered mine already. I also got tickets to the Portland show in October. Seriously, my love for this band is absolutely unmatched. I am giddy just thinking about it.

End-Fest was today. Blink-182, Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, and Chester French (?). WEEZER COVERED WAR PIGS. I seriously almost died. And Blink-182 was dumb and crude and perfect. Just how I had always dreamed since 6th grade. Only bummer was that we had sorta shitty tickets. But we met tons of cool people and had a good time. Brand new is playing on the 16th. I honestly will probably pee my pants, especially if they play Untitled 1. Jesus, J. Lacey, why aren't you my main squeeze?

Anyways, I am just really excited to go to bed right now. Fun day.

I had this cute moment at Denny's last night. Pretty tight.

I've been having these weird, intense dreams about this one friend I had in middle/high school. He moved away when I was 14 or 15 and I never heard/talked/thought about him again. Then out of nowhere, BLAM, crazy dreams every night. It's unsettling. I keep thinking "I just need to talk to him and make sure he's okay". It's like someone is whispering in my ear and I am totally obligated to listen. Not as in God... As in I am going crazyyyy. Oh well, whatever. He used to live on this apple orchard and I've been finding myself daydreaming about it all the time.

Feeling weird. What else is new.

I saw Gamer yesterday. Terrible. That Logan Lermen kid (or whatever his name is) was alright. I think he could be good when he gets older. Also, Milo Ventimiglia was in it for a few scenes. I am so gay for him.

Ponyo was adorable and great. Beautiful animation. Not quite as fab. at Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke, but I think that may be because it's a more child-oriented movie. Regardless, my love for the ocean overtakes my maturity any day. Good movie.

I went to Wicked last night with my mom. Not as great as everyone has been saying. I don't understand the hype....? Alpheba or Alfalfa or whatever the hell her name is, she was great. I love the theater. I was a bit dissapointed in this. Also.... 120$ tickets for the VERY last row. Pffft.

We started our screenplay contest today. Two weeks to write a 10 minute bit of film based on the prompt "the first scene must take place in a bathroom". Weird specifications but I'm sure it will make for some good stories. I'm not too confident in my screenwriting abilities. That's what college is for, right? Fuuu I have to take two classes on this shit. Better get started.

Blakeley wrote me a letter in Hobbit Runes. Now that is love.

Made a nice tofurkey dinner for everyone today. Yum yum yum. Making your own "baste" or whatever is so much fun. The recipe on the box isn't very good anyways. I used: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh garlic in chunks, garlic powder, thyme, basil, oregano, sage, salt, pepper, and a tiny bit of soy sauce. I thought it was pretty good and the entire thing got eaten in 10 minutes, so.... Success!

I'm being Ness for Halloween (from Earthbound and/or Super Smash Bros). I need some help finding my costume, but there's still a bit of time to figure it all out. Not worried about it.

The other day Blakeley, Jeff, Bryan, Heather, Malia and I participated in an event called the "Tour de Franzia". Which is very much like the Tour de France, but in Olympia, Washington. And with boxed wine... The basic point of the event is to get as many people together as possible, share one box of wine at each stop (8 litres), and try to make it to the end. The problem lies in the stops. They are every half mile. So everyone is COMPLETELY wasted before we even get close to downtown. Anyways, Blakeley fell and hit her face after the third stop. She has several facial fractures. Super gnarly.

That was right after the accident, so the black eye/huge bruises hadn't showed up yet. Pretty wild. Can not wait for Tour de Franzia '10.

The Time Traveler's Wife, The Ugly Truth, Funny People; all terrible. I liked 500 Days of Summer, although a lot of it was cheesy. Crazy: This morning, Emily went missing. Apparently she never made it home last night from Sarah's birthday party. A little 125 pound girl on a motorcycle in the middle of the night, oh lord. Obviously, I'm freaking out. But Caiti has my car and won't answer the phone. I'm calling everyone I know, making a check list of where she has been/could be now. Very stressful. So I assume that she has either died or stayed the night at Sarah's. I ask some people for rides, everyone says no. Which is weird sort of. I go over to Dillon's and he says she left the party, there's no way she stayed the night there. So now I am assuming that my best friend is dead. I call her mom again. Mom says "Oh yeah, weird misunderstanding. She's here now."

Worst morning ever! I went over to Emily's just to make sure, hahaha. I hate worrying.

Back from California! So fudging wild. My car broke down twice, but we made it to Sound and Fury on time. LA is raging. So much clubbing! So many celebrities! I seriously love my car-full of friends. Dillon was an excellent addition. Stayed in Redding at the Separation's house. Best dudes around. Sort of sad to be home. Glad to end summer on such a good note.

Wild stories:
-During Trash Talk, Emily did a roof-dive. Almost watched my BFF die. So awesome.
-During On, we had party noise blowers, and some dude punched me in the face because I was being so annoying. Haahaha.
-Dude from Bad Seed got stabbed.
-Partied on the beach with Anthony Hale. He gave Nicole mosh lessons.
-After S&F, the B9 had a "missed connections" thread. We posted one as Dillon to Martine (some internet famous girl with the same chest piece as him). Shit got wild real fast. (HA)
-Lots of wild late night walks in LA
-Drank two redlines within ten minutes. Oh, the stomach pain.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to see the Coke Bust show after all. Bummed to be missing Red and Black. I gave Adam 14 blank tapes today for demos. They should be pretty cool.

Tonight Adriana, Bob, Jahnavi and I trekked down to the beach at Evergreen to see the phosphorescence. The tide was all the way in though, so we couldn't swim. We decided to hike around to another beach. We were telling scary stories the whole car ride to Evergreen and even in the beginning of the hike. We were joking about the "secret society" of "vampires" that stalk people in the forests around the college.The creepy thing is, we kept hearing sticks breaking off the trail. And at one point, a man wearing all black was on the trail heading into the thick trees. He was lighting the trail with an iPod, which was very odd. But the weirdest shit happened later. When we were at the end of the hike, Bob saw a dude standing quietly watching us. No joke. These creepy vampire wannabe fools are out there. Yucgh.

My friends and I have decided to postpone our California trip to see an awesome show here in Oly. Red and Black, Coke Bust, and Sick Fix are playing. Should be pretty raging. Then we are heading down to Oxnard, CA to check out Sound and Fury Fest '09. If you're into punk/hardcore and haven't heard of this, you should check it out.

The only problem that I am facing right now is that I have spent so much money on feeding/keeping my friends happy, that I am now short on cash for our trip. Worth it, but a bummer none the less.

I have decided to start a blog. It is 12:02 AM.

I am moving to Australia in December. I will try to update frequently so that I can track my progression and readiness to move. I always enjoy looking back at how stupid I "used to be".

This is the tattoo I got on Wednesday. It is a fanny pack. There is a bottle of Elmer's style glue inside. It says "Gotta stick together". Sort of funny I guess.
